Kayadua
Welcome to KAYADUA, a Ghanaian-based fashion brand that celebrates tradition, culture, and the spirit of self-expression. Founded by Eyiwaa Agyekumhene, KAYADUA takes inspiration from her upbringing and the rich heritage of her grandmothers, who instilled in her a love for fashion and design.
At KAYADUA, we embrace a slow fashion approach, creating unique pieces that honor traditional techniques such as weaving and beading, infused with modern flair. Each item is meticulously crafted by hand, often taking days or weeks to complete, ensuring the utmost attention to detail and quality.
Our journey began in 2018 as an accessory brand and expanded to release our first clothing collection in 2021. Guided by the desire to inspire confidence and freedom of self-expression, we believe in celebrating individuality and uniqueness through our designs.
In our commitment to giving back to the community, KAYADUA has dedicated 10% of proceeds from our HOME collection to support a young girls' mentorship and training program by SEWING (Sankofa Empowering Women in Ghana), a women's organization under PeaceJam.
Our pieces have garnered recognition and acclaim, collaborating with notable artists such as Moses Sumney and Michaela Coel. We have been featured in leading magazines like Vogue, Elle France, I-D, and more, solidifying our reputation as a true brand rooted in craftsmanship and artistry.
KAYADUA's current stockists span across the globe, from Elle Lokko in Accra to Bona Drag in North America, Jens.Stock.Composition in Japan, and beyond. Our mission extends beyond the world of fashion, as we aim to encourage freedom of self-expression in every aspect of life.
Founded by Henrietta Eyiwaa Agyekumhene, KAYADUA is a true reflection of her passion for design, her Ghanaian heritage, and her commitment to sustainable and timeless fashion.
